Last week, I had a great experience at a photography exhibition called “Life Through The Lens II” hosted by Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University Photographic Society (SAUPS). The event took place from June 26 to 28, 2025, at the TSC Complex, inside the university campus in Dhaka. The exhibition was open every day from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
I was really happy and proud because two of my works were selected for this exhibition:
- A single photograph titled: "Darjeeling Street"
- A photo story titled: "July 36"
I went to visit the exhibition on the 27 June and last day 28 June and I took some photos of the visitors and the gallery setup. It was amazing to see people walking around, stopping in front of every picture and spending time looking at each photo. Some people were talking about the stories behind the images. I noticed many visitors smiling and pointing at different works. That made me feel very proud to be a part of it.
Even though the venue was a bit small and the lighting wasn’t perfect, I think the photos still managed to shine. The warm crowd and their curiosity made the whole event feel very special.
And here’s the most exciting part— my photo story "July 36" won the Winner’s Prize! 🏆
This was a big moment for me. I received a crest, certificate and price money from the organizers. It felt like all the hard work and time I spent on that photo story finally paid off.
I also took some pictures of my own works hanging on the wall and a few of the winner’s crest and certificate. I will keep them forever as memories of this special day.
